Mission and objectives of the Doctoral School of Geography, Sports Science and Physiotherapy
The Doctoral School of Geography, Sports Science and Physiotherapy aims to generate and transfer knowledge to society through:
- academic training, at the highest level of performance, of the doctoral student with the aim of satisfying their need for intellectual, professional and social development, but also the society’s need for specialized workforce;
- promoting excellence in scientific research, development, innovation and knowledge transfer processes to Romanian society, thus responding to its need for progress
The strategic objective of the Doctoral School of Geography, Sports Science and Physiotherapy is to improve the quality of the doctoral studies it manages, by consolidating existing doctoral fields but also by supporting and promoting new doctoral fields within it.
The following specific objectives derive from the strategic objective:
- optimizing and streamlining training programs based on advanced studies;
- ensuring and continuously improving the quality of activities carried out within the Department of Geography, Sports Science and Physiotherapy;
- stimulating and developing research capacity and capabilities, while promoting new research directions;
- developing the human resources involved in the doctoral study cycle;
- internationalizing and increasing the visibility of the Doctoral School of Geography, Sports Science and Physiotherapy at national and international levels;
- optimizing the activities of the institutional structures that serve the Doctoral School of Geography;
• ensuring a participatory, transparent and efficient management style.
